Ativan (lorazepam) is an anti-anxiety medicine that is used to treat anxiety disorders as well as other mental health issues. It works by slowing activity in the brain to produce a calming effect.

It also helps to reduce physical symptoms of anxiety such as rapid heartbeat, excessive perspiration, tremors, and tightness in the chest or throat.

Uses-

Ativan MG tablets are mainly used as an anxiolytic drug for the management of anxiety disorders such as generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), panic disorder, social phobia and obsessive compulsive disorders (OCD).
